Welcome to my little corner of the Internet.

My name is Randy Olds and this is where I write about my continuing journey with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When I came to the point in my life where I decided to live my life for Christ, I began to take notes along the way. I slowly began to fill up little journal books as I studied the Bible and other Christian writings documenting my thoughts and musings along the way. In August of 2009, I decided to move my journal to the Worldwide Web, and this blog is the end result of that.

After growing up in the Worldwide Church of God, which was an extreme form of fundamentalism and was somewhat of a blend of Jehovah’s Witnesses and Seventh Day Adventists, I gave up on religion for a number of years. I then bounced between Baptist and Charismatic churches for over a decade, still not finding anything I could hold onto. In 2000, my wife and I became members of the United Methodist Church, but it was still a number of years before I developed a life transforming relationship through Christ. That tranformation is still in progress, and this blog a means of documenting it.

I also probably think way too much about theological matters that most Christians don’t really ponder much upon. One of the reasons for my blog is so I don’t bore my wife too much talking about things like the the Johannine Comma, the writings of Tertullian or some Dead Sea Scroll fragment.
